Key Responsibilities:

  • Support students in line with the national curriculum and school policies.
  • Assist teachers in delivering high-quality lessons and managing classroom activities.
  • Provide individualised support to students with learning, behavioural, or social needs.
  • Collaborate with teaching staff to develop and implement effective learning strategies.
  • Monitor and record student progress regularly.
  • Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students.
  • Participate in professional development and training opportunities.
  • Ensure the safety and wellbeing of students at all times.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven experience working with students in a school setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience and a caring attitude towards students with diverse needs.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and support teachers effectively.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Preferred

  • Experience in supporting students with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).
  • Familiarity with teaching and learning strategies.
  • Previous experience in a similar educational role.
  • Knowledge of child protection and safeguarding policies.
