The Opportunity:

The Early Help Intervention Lead plays a vital role in supporting pupils and families at the earliest stage of concern. This position involves leading the school’s Early Help offer, delivering targeted interventions, and coordinating multi-agency support to improve student outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide targeted support to manage the school's early help processes
  • Act as the main point of contact for early help referrals within the school community
  • Advise senior leadership in the production and implementation of whole school strategies to improve pupil behaviour
  • Manage the delivery of targeted 1:1 and group interventions
  • Coordinate multi-agency support to address emerging needs promptly
  • Contribute to safeguarding, attendance, behaviour, and wellbeing initiatives
  • Ensure early identification and timely addressing of student needs
  • Support the development of effective early help plans and initiatives

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven experience in early help or intervention roles within education
  • Strong organisational and communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with multi-agency partners
  • Experience in developing and implementing strategies to support student wellbeing
  • Understanding of safeguarding procedures and child protection policies

Preferred

  • Experience in working with vulnerable children and families
  • Knowledge of behaviour management and pastoral care strategies
  • Experience with SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities) provision
  • Leadership experience within an educational setting
  • Familiarity with evidence-based intervention approaches
