Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and deliver high-quality PE lessons aligned with curriculum standards.
• Lead and support a team of PE staff, ensuring consistent teaching and learning across the department.
• Plan and design schemes of work that promote student engagement and progression.
• Monitor and assess student performance, providing constructive feedback to support improvement.
• Collaborate with colleagues to integrate PE with other subjects and school-wide initiatives.
• Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages participation and personal development.
• Stay up-to-date with current trends and best practices in physical education.
• Participate in staff development and training programs to enhance teaching practice.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Proven experience teaching PE at Key Stages 3 and 4
• Strong subject knowledge in physical education
• Experience in curriculum planning and scheme of work development
• Leadership experience in a school or educational setting

Preferred

• Experience in a leadership role within a PE department
• Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language
• Knowledge of inclusive teaching strategies and student welfare
