Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging and effective French lessons across key stages 3 and 4.
• Develop and implement schemes of work that align with the school’s curriculum and learning outcomes.
• Support the continuous improvement of teaching and learning practices within the department.
• Collaborate with colleagues to raise standards and ensure consistent delivery of high-quality education.
• Take an active role in the development of curricular provision and professional development opportunities.
• Monitor and assess student progress, providing targeted support where needed.
• Contribute to the school’s wider community through enrichment programs and extracurricular activities.
• Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student engagement and achievement.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Strong subject knowledge in French
• Experience in teaching French across key stages 3 and 4
• Ability to plan and deliver effective schemes of work
• Commitment to student progress and achievement

Preferred

• Experience in curriculum development and innovation
• Background in teaching English as a Second Language (ESOL)
• Experience with inclusive education and supporting diverse learners
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Experience with assessment and tracking student progress
