The Opportunity:

As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND), helping them achieve their full potential. You will work closely with teachers to create an inclusive and engaging learning environment, while contributing to the school's wider community through enrichment activities and supervision duties.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support students with SEND in and out of the classroom to enhance learning outcomes.
• Promote independence, engagement, and inclusion in all aspects of learning.
• Assist teachers with classroom management, lesson delivery, and organisation.
• Provide constructive feedback to students, teachers, and parents/carers.
• Contribute to the school’s enrichment activities and supervision duties.
• Collaborate with staff to ensure a positive and supportive learning environment.
• Support the implementation of individual learning plans and strategies.
• Maintain accurate records and communicate regularly with relevant stakeholders.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Experience working with children of relevant age or learning need.
• GCSE grade 4 (grade C) or above in English and Maths.
• Basic ICT skills and understanding of learning resources.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Preferred

• NVQ Level 2 or equivalent qualification.
• Willingness to undertake further training, including first aid.
• Understanding of child development and relevant educational policies.
