The Opportunity:

We are seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join our Learning Support Department and support students with specific learning needs. This is a vital role in helping students achieve their full potential in a caring and inclusive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support students with individual learning needs through one-to-one and small group assistance.
• Work closely with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement effective learning strategies.
• Provide a safe and encouraging environment for students to build confidence and independence.
• Assist in the preparation of resources and materials tailored to individual learning plans.
• Monitor and record student progress and communicate regularly with teaching staff.
• Collaborate with parents and carers to support student development and well-being.
• Participate in staff training and professional development opportunities.
• Uphold the school’s values and contribute to the positive and inclusive school culture.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Relevant qualifications in education or a related field.
• Experience working with students with specific learning needs.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• A caring, patient, and adaptable approach to working with students.
• Ability to work as part of a team and take direction from teachers and senior staff.

Preferred

• Experience in a school or educational setting.
• Knowledge of inclusive teaching practices and special educational needs.
• Experience with assistive technology or learning support software.
