The Opportunity:
Join a dynamic team as a Creative iMedia Teacher, delivering engaging lessons for pupils aged 11–16. This role focuses on OCR Cambridge National Creative iMedia at KS4 and includes teaching a second subject at KS3/KS4. You’ll have the chance to shape digital learning and contribute to innovative projects such as BTEC Esports.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver Creative iMedia lessons at KS4 and a second subject at KS3/KS4, adapting learning for SEND pupils.
- Use creative, practical strategies to motivate pupils and support progress.
- Collaborate with colleagues, teaching assistants, and external professionals to support academic and social-emotional development.
- Track and report on pupil progress and contribute to EHCP processes.
- Take part in school life, including enrichment activities, clubs, off-site visits, and whole-school events.
- Develop and implement trauma-informed, relational teaching approaches.
- Support the creation of accessible, engaging lessons aligned with the school’s educational goals.
- Contribute to the development of digital courses and enrichment programs.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher (PGCE/QTS or equivalent), including ECTs.
- Experience in Creative iMedia, Computing, IT, Art, or related digital subjects.
- Ability to plan and adapt lessons for a range of abilities.
- Passionate about supporting pupils with SEND and/or SEMH needs.
- Commitment to inclusive education and collaborative working.
Preferred
- Confidence using digital tools and willingness to develop new skills.
- Experience with BTEC Esports or other digital projects.
- Keen to get involved in enrichment activities and school events.
- Background in trauma-informed teaching practices.
