The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and inspire a dedicated team of staff, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Develop and implement a clear vision for the school aligned with Catholic values and educational best practice.
  • Oversee curriculum development and ensure high-quality teaching and learning experiences for all students.
  • Promote and maintain a strong Catholic ethos across the school community.
  • Ensure effective safeguarding practices and a safe, inclusive environment for all students.
  • Work closely with the academy trust to leverage support in areas such as finance, HR, and school improvement.
  • Engage with parents, the local community, and other schools to build strong partnerships.
  • Drive improvements in academic standards and student outcomes.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A practising Catholic with a clear understanding of Catholic education and the ability to promote the Catholic ethos.
  • Proven leadership experience in a school setting, with the ability to manage and motivate staff effectively.
  • Strong knowledge of current educational practice and curriculum development.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and the welfare of children and young people.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in raising academic standards and improving student outcomes.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with parents, colleagues, and the wider community.

Preferred

  • Experience in a Catholic school or with Catholic education.
  • Experience with multi-academy trust structures and support systems.
  • Leadership in a school with a strong academic record.
  • Experience in Continuing Professional Development and staff training.
  • Familiarity with online training platforms and professional development resources.
