The Opportunity:

We are seeking a Deputy Headteacher to join a thriving Catholic school and support the Headteacher in leading and managing the school. This is a key leadership role with the potential to shape the future of the school and contribute to the ongoing success of the Trust.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Headteacher in leading and managing the school
  • Support and represent the Headteacher at meetings as and when required
  • Undertake the professional duties of the Headteacher during his/her absence
  • Work in successful partnership with the Headteacher and support the Trust’s vision for raising standards across the school
  • Act as a role model and advocate for the Catholic ethos within the school community
  • Promote and implement high-quality teaching and learning strategies
  • Foster strong relationships with staff, students, parents, and external stakeholders
  • Contribute to school improvement initiatives and strategic planning

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A practising and committed Catholic
  • Proven leadership experience within secondary education
  • Experience of leading school improvement initiatives
  • Excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills
  • Strong moral and ethical principles and values
  • Ability to build happy teams within the school and with external parties
  • Commitment to the Catholic ethos and values of the school
  • Demonstrated ability to manage challenging situations effectively

Preferred

  • Experience in safeguarding and/or SEND
  • Background in delivering high-quality, inclusive education
  • Experience of working within a multi-academy trust
  • Strong pastoral commitment and a ‘can do’ attitude
  • Experience in school-to-school support or collaboration
