Key Responsibilities:

  • Support teaching and learning through one-to-one, small group, and whole-class interventions.
  • Develop positive relationships with students, colleagues, and the wider school community.
  • Assist in the delivery of a knowledge-based academic curriculum and leadership programme.
  • Collaborate with teachers to enhance pupil engagement and achievement.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports on student progress and development.
  • Contribute to the development of inclusive and supportive learning environments.
  • Provide tailored support to pupils with diverse learning needs.
  • Participate in professional development and training opportunities.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • NVQ Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
  • Experience of working with children in a school setting.
  • Strong organisational and technical skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with students and adults.
  • Experience working with pupils on a one-to-one, small group, and whole-class basis.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Preferred

  • Experience in a leadership or character development programme.
  • Knowledge of educational best practices and inclusive learning strategies.
  • Experience with supporting students from disadvantaged backgrounds.
  • Familiarity with the Star Academies values and mission.
