Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and effective mathematics lessons to students aged 11–18.
- Support the Head of Department in coordinating curriculum development, assessment, and pedagogy.
- Analyze student performance data to inform targeted interventions and improve outcomes.
- Participate in co-curricular activities, including clubs, competitions, and educational visits.
- Contribute to the development of a broad and balanced curriculum with a focus on student achievement.
- Collaborate with colleagues to support the school’s mission of developing Better Students, Better People.
- Stay up to date with developments in mathematics education and incorporate best practices into teaching.
- Provide pastoral support and guidance to students as needed.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with relevant subject knowledge in mathematics.
- Experience teaching mathematics at Key Stages 3, 4, and 5.
- Strong classroom management and communication skills.
- Commitment to student achievement and pastoral care.
- Willingness to participate in extra-curricular activities.
Preferred
- Experience in leading or supporting departmental initiatives.
- Background in developing and implementing innovative teaching strategies.
- Experience with A-level mathematics and university preparation.
- Familiarity with using technology to enhance teaching and learning.
