The Opportunity:

As a Therapy Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with ASC/SEMH needs through a range of therapeutic interventions. This is a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact on students’ lives while working in a supportive and forward-thinking school environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement and review therapy interventions based on Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) to support student development.
  • Deliver sensory and creative activities, including therapeutic art and speech and language interventions.
  • Support staff in developing and monitoring progress in sensory and speech and language development.
  • Monitor and report on therapy input within classrooms to ensure a consistent and effective clinical approach.
  • Keep detailed and accurate records of interventions and student outcomes.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Training in Occupational Therapy, Speech and Language Therapy, and/or Psychology.
  • Recognised Level 2 qualifications in English and Maths.

Preferred

  • Experience working with young people with sensory and physical health needs in an educational setting.
  • Knowledge of the roles of professionals in health, social care, and education.
  • Understanding of relevant legislation in education, social care, and therapy.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Competitive hourly rate between £12.87 to £14.03.
  • Full-time term-time only position with 40 hours per week.
