Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver a comprehensive visual arts curriculum aligned with IB standards.
- Foster student creativity, critical thinking, and artistic skills through interactive and inquiry-based learning.
- Collaborate with other teachers to integrate visual arts across the curriculum.
- Assess and provide meaningful feedback on student work in line with school and IB standards.
- Maintain a safe, inclusive, and inspiring classroom environment that encourages student participation and growth.
- Stay current with trends and developments in the visual arts field.
- Participate in school events, parent-teacher meetings, and professional development opportunities.
- Support the school’s mission by promoting global awareness and cultural appreciation through the arts.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Bachelor's degree in Visual Arts or related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of teaching experience in a middle school setting.
- Strong knowledge of IB Middle Years Programme (MYP) standards.
- Demonstrated ability to create engaging and inclusive classroom environments.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to student well-being and academic success.
Preferred
- Experience teaching in an international school setting.
- Familiarity with digital art tools and multimedia resources.
- Experience with cross-curricular collaboration.
- Strong background in art history and diverse artistic traditions.
