The Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Visual Arts Teacher - Part-Time to join our high school team. This role is ideal for someone who is dedicated to inspiring students through creative learning and contributing to a dynamic, inquiry-based educational environment. The position involves teaching G9 and G10 students, as well as supporting the IBDP G11 Visual Arts class.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and deliver engaging Visual Arts curriculum aligned with IB standards.
• Foster a creative and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student expression and inquiry.
• Support the development of students’ artistic skills and critical thinking abilities.
• Collaborate with colleagues to enhance interdisciplinary learning opportunities.
• Provide constructive feedback to students to support their artistic and academic growth.
• Participate in school events, professional development, and community engagement activities.
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and assessments.
• Stay current with trends and developments in the field of visual arts education.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Bachelor’s degree in Visual Arts or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of teaching experience at the high school level.
• Strong knowledge of the IB Visual Arts curriculum and assessment criteria.
• Demonstrated ability to create innovative and engaging lesson plans.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred

• Experience teaching within an international school setting.
• Familiarity with digital art tools and technologies.
• Experience with IB Diploma Programme (DP) Visual Arts.
• Strong portfolio of personal artistic work.
• Fluency in additional languages.
