The Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Science Teacher to join our expanding department. This role offers the chance to shape a high-quality Science curriculum and support student progress in Biology, Chemistry, and Physics. You will work within a collaborative team committed to fostering scientific curiosity and practical skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging and effective Science lessons to Key Stage 4 students.
• Develop and implement a curriculum that promotes deep conceptual understanding and practical investigation.
• Support student progress through differentiated teaching and assessment strategies.
• Collaborate with colleagues to enhance departmental practice and whole-school initiatives.
• Participate in enrichment activities and extracurricular Science events.
• Mentor and support Early Career Teachers where appropriate.
• Contribute to the ongoing development of Science teaching and learning across the school.
• Maintain accurate records and report student progress to relevant stakeholders.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Qualified teacher with a relevant Science subject specialism.
• Experience in teaching Science at Key Stage 4, or the ability to demonstrate strong subject knowledge.
• Commitment to inclusive and student-centred teaching practices.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.

Preferred

• Experience in curriculum development or leadership within a Science department.
• Familiarity with innovative teaching methods and technology in Science education.
• Experience with enrichment and extra-curricular Science activities.
• Previous experience in a school with a strong arts and music focus.
