Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Computer Science lessons at KS4, ensuring student engagement and academic success.
  • Contribute to the development and shaping of the Computer Science curriculum.
  • Collaborate with the Music Technology pathways to create cross-curricular learning opportunities.
  • Support students in developing computational thinking, problem-solving, and digital innovation skills.
  • Participate in professional development and share best practices with colleagues.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and motivating learning environment.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and integrate them into teaching practice.
  • Work closely with colleagues to ensure a consistent and high-quality learning experience.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with experience in Computer Science or a related subject.
  • Strong subject knowledge and the ability to deliver engaging lessons.
  • Experience in teaching at KS4 level.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred

  • Experience with early career teacher development or mentoring.
  • Familiarity with Music Technology and cross-curricular teaching.
  • Passion for digital innovation and computational thinking.
  • Experience in developing and implementing new curriculum content.
  • Background in working within a school with a strong arts and music focus.
