The Opportunity:

A Whole School Music Teacher is needed to lead and inspire students across both Primary and Secondary levels. This role offers the chance to shape the musical development of a vibrant and diverse student community within a dynamic educational setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver high-quality music education across all year groups
  • Create engaging and innovative music curricula aligned with the English National Curriculum
  • Support and mentor students in developing their musical talents and performance skills
  • Collaborate with other teachers to integrate music into cross-curricular projects
  • Lead and organize school-wide music events, performances, and competitions
  • Monitor and assess student progress in line with national standards
  • Maintain up-to-date records of student performance and attendance
  • Ensure a safe and inclusive learning environment that promotes student well-being

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with a minimum of two years teaching experience
  • B.Ed or BA degree in a core subject with PGCE/ QTS
  • In-depth knowledge of the English National Curriculum
  • Strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection policies
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proficient use of ICT in teaching and administrative tasks

Preferred

  • Experience in fostering a caring and supportive school environment
  • Proven ability to contribute to the wider life of the school through extra-curricular activities
  • Experience in leading or organizing school events and performances
  • Background in teaching across both Primary and Secondary levels
  • Familiarity with international education systems and diverse student populations
