The Opportunity:

A school is seeking a passionate and experienced Year 1 Teacher Leader to join its highly successful Primary team. Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and support the planning and delivery of high-quality lessons across six classes in Year 1.
• Collaborate with the leadership team to ensure consistent delivery of policies and practices.
• Coordinate year group planning to ensure coverage, progression, and a range of learning experiences.
• Mentor and coach teachers within the year group to support planning and assessment.
• Take responsibility for the pastoral care of students in the year group.
• Promote strong parent partnerships through workshops and celebrations of student work.
• Plan and promote enrichment opportunities to enhance student learning and well-being.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• A good bachelor’s degree and PGCE qualification from a reputable UK university.
• Experience teaching the National Curriculum of England.
• Previous leadership experience, particularly in leading a team.
• Commitment to professional development and a passion for teaching.

Preferred

• Experience with Talk 4 Writing and Read-Write-Inc teaching programs.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience in safeguarding and promoting student well-being.
