The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging, challenging, and well-structured lessons that meet the needs of all learners
  • Plan and assess effectively to ensure pupils achieve their full potential
  • Develop and implement teaching materials and assessment strategies
  • Take on subject leadership responsibilities for science
  • Contribute to the wider life of the school through extra-curricular and pastoral activities
  • Support pupils in developing a love of learning and preparing them for the next stage of education
  • Promote a positive and inclusive classroom culture
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure consistent and high-quality teaching across the school

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified Teacher Status and evidence of ongoing professional development
  • Strong experience teaching within Key Stage 1, ideally Year 2
  • Secure understanding of the KS1 curriculum and its effective application
  • Commitment to meeting the needs of all learners through thoughtful planning and assessment
  • Experience in developing teaching materials and pastoral support strategies

Preferred

  • Experience in subject leadership or curriculum development
  • Experience in either the independent or state sector
  • Early career or experienced teacher with a passion for education
