The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging, challenging, and well-structured lessons that meet the needs of all learners
- Plan and assess effectively to ensure pupils achieve their full potential
- Develop and implement teaching materials and assessment strategies
- Take on subject leadership responsibilities for science
- Contribute to the wider life of the school through extra-curricular and pastoral activities
- Support pupils in developing a love of learning and preparing them for the next stage of education
- Promote a positive and inclusive classroom culture
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure consistent and high-quality teaching across the school
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified Teacher Status and evidence of ongoing professional development
- Strong experience teaching within Key Stage 1, ideally Year 2
- Secure understanding of the KS1 curriculum and its effective application
- Commitment to meeting the needs of all learners through thoughtful planning and assessment
- Experience in developing teaching materials and pastoral support strategies
Preferred
- Experience in subject leadership or curriculum development
- Experience in either the independent or state sector
- Early career or experienced teacher with a passion for education
