The Opportunity:

We are seeking a dedicated Primary HLTA (SEND) to support students with special educational needs and disabilities in reaching their full potential. Key Responsibilities:

  • Support students with special educational needs and disabilities in a primary setting.
  • Work closely with teachers to deliver individualized learning plans and interventions.
  • Assist in creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Monitor and track student progress regularly, providing feedback to teaching staff.
  • Collaborate with parents, carers, and external agencies to support student well-being and academic success.
  • Participate in staff meetings and professional development activities.
  • Ensure all activities are carried out in line with the school's policies and procedures.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of the school's SEND strategy.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Relevant experience working with children with special educational needs and disabilities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Commitment to supporting student learning and development.
  • Knowledge of SEND frameworks and best practices.

Preferred

  • Experience in a primary school setting.
  • Qualifications in education or related fields.
  • Experience with behavior management strategies.
  • Experience with teaching English as a Second Language.
