The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and teach engaging lessons across all primary subjects, including preparation for 11+ assessments.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop curriculum plans and daily lessons.
- Mark and assess student work, maintaining accurate records and providing feedback.
- Foster a positive classroom environment that encourages learning and personal development.
- Ensure good behaviour and discipline while promoting the school’s values and safeguarding standards.
- Support student wellbeing and maintain regular communication with parents.
- Participate in school events, assemblies, and extracurricular activities.
- Manage classroom resources and maintain an orderly and stimulating learning space.
- Attend staff meetings, training sessions, and appraisal activities.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with a strong academic background (PGCE, QTS or equivalent).
- Strong subject knowledge and the ability to inspire and engage pupils.
- Confident in planning, assessment, and adapting work to meet individual needs.
- Good classroom management skills and ability to maintain a respectful environment.
- Experience in supporting pupil wellbeing and understanding of safeguarding responsibilities.
- Strong communication skills and ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
Preferred
- Experience working in a school with a strong focus on personal development.
- Experience in teaching within a preparatory school setting.
- Familiarity with 11+ preparation and assessment practices.
