The Opportunity:

As a Gap Year Assistant, you will support teachers and pupils across the school day, including in PE lessons and sporting activities. This is a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in education and contribute to a vibrant, supportive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support teachers and pupils in the classroom throughout the school day
• Assist with PE lessons and sporting activities
• Engage with students in a positive and encouraging manner
• Contribute to the school’s dynamic and inclusive environment
• Support the development of students’ physical and social skills
• Participate in school events and activities
• Work collaboratively with staff and students
• Promote the school’s non-competitive academic ethos

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Recent school leaver or student taking a gap year
• Interest in education, child development, or sport
• Energetic, reliable, and eager to learn
• Ability to work with children in a supportive and encouraging way

Preferred

• Experience in a school or educational setting
• Knowledge of child development or sports coaching
• Interest in pursuing a future career in education
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
