Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality, engaging A Level Law teaching that inspires and challenges students.
  • Design and implement inclusive, adaptive teaching strategies that support all learners, including those with special educational needs.
  • Prepare students for successful outcomes in exams, university entry, and careers in law and related fields.
  • Develop and maintain up-to-date schemes of work, assessment plans, and teaching resources.
  • Conduct initial assessments and use performance data to guide teaching and support student improvement.
  • Provide clear, timely, and developmental feedback to enhance student learning and achievement.
  • Support student behaviour and wellbeing, ensuring a positive learning environment.
  • Build links with industry and employers to enhance curriculum relevance and student employability.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Relevant subject qualification at or above the level taught.
  • Recognised teaching qualification (PGCE/Cert Ed/DTLLS) or commitment to achieving one.
  • GCSE (or equivalent) English and Maths at Grade C/4 or above, or a commitment to obtain Level 2 Functional Skills.

Preferred

  • Experience in teaching A Level Law or related subjects.
  • Experience with inclusive teaching practices and supporting students with SEND.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • Familiarity with digital technologies in education.
