The Opportunity:
We are seeking an experienced A-Level Mathematics Teacher to join a dynamic and successful department. This role offers the opportunity to make a real impact on students' futures, helping them achieve success in A-Level Mathematics and progress to top universities and degree apprenticeships.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality A-Level Mathematics and Statistics lessons to a large and diverse group of students.
- Support the development of students' mathematical skills and confidence, with a focus on achieving outstanding results.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues in the Mathematics department to enhance teaching and learning practices.
- Provide individualised support and guidance to students, including those preparing for university and apprenticeship pathways.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing detailed and constructive feedback.
- Participate in departmental meetings, staff training, and curriculum development.
- Engage in wider school activities, including student mentorship and extra-curricular events.
- Maintain accurate records and reports in line with school procedures and standards.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with relevant experience in teaching A-Level Mathematics and/or Statistics.
- Strong subject knowledge and the ability to deliver engaging and effective lessons.
- Experience working in a school or college environment, ideally with a proven track record of student achievement.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students.
Preferred
- Experience with vocational and T-Level courses.
- Familiarity with teaching students preparing for university and apprenticeships.
- Experience with supporting students with diverse learning needs.
- Experience with using digital tools and resources in teaching.
