The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the SENCo and therapy team to deliver high-quality healthcare and therapy services.
  • Collaborate with families and external agencies to ensure therapy is tailored to each child’s needs.
  • Conduct autonomous assessments of children with a wide range of additional needs, including autism and sensory difficulties.
  • Analyse assessments and develop individualised intervention plans to support student progress.
  • Support the development of care plans and assist students with daily living, self-care, and productivity tasks.
  • Maintain accurate and professional records in accordance with industry standards.
  • Apply advanced clinical reasoning to manage children with complex needs and develop effective treatment strategies.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Diploma or Degree in Occupational Therapy
  • HCPC Registration
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development
  • Previous experience in an occupational therapy role
  • Experience working in multi-disciplinary and multi-agency settings
  • Knowledge of managing children with autism, sensory needs, and attachment difficulties

Preferred

  • Experience in a CAMHS or ASC occupational therapy role
  • Experience in a paediatric or special school occupational therapy role
