Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality, student-centred lessons in Chemistry at A Level.
  • Design and develop innovative and engaging teaching resources.
  • Monitor and assess student progress to ensure academic success.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the overall learning experience.
  • Support the development of students through pastoral care and guidance.
  • Participate in the planning and delivery of extracurricular activities related to Chemistry.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student performance and attendance.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of the curriculum and teaching methods.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant experience in Chemistry education.
  • Strong background in teaching A Level Chemistry, preferably within a college or school setting.
  • Demonstrated ability to design and deliver creative and impactful lessons.
  • Commitment to student-centred learning and pastoral care.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred

  • Experience with teaching in a college or sixth form setting.
  • Familiarity with vocational and T Level courses.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and external partners.
  • Experience with curriculum development and innovation in teaching.
