The Opportunity:

As an Admin Assistant Apprentice - Business Administration Level 3, you will provide essential administrative and clerical support to the Additional Learning Support team. This role is ideal for someone looking to develop their skills in a supportive and dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Additional Learning Support team with general office and reception duties.
  • Answer the telephone and manage incoming calls effectively.
  • Maintain electronic filing systems and ensure accurate record-keeping.
  • Schedule appointments and meetings for the team.
  • Take detailed minutes during reviews and meetings.
  • Liaise with academic colleagues and other support areas within the institution.
  • Assist with administrative tasks that support the day-to-day operation of the service.
  • Adapt to changing responsibilities as needed to meet the evolving needs of the team.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Enthusiasm and a willingness to learn and develop within a supportive environment.
  • Good communication and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Basic computer skills, including the use of office software.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students and vulnerable adults.

Preferred

  • Previous experience in an administrative or support role.
  • Experience with minute-taking or similar documentation tasks.
  • Knowledge of educational support services or similar environments.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to changing priorities and responsibilities.
