The Opportunity:
As an Admin Assistant Apprentice - Business Administration Level 3, you will provide essential administrative and clerical support to the Additional Learning Support team. This role is ideal for someone looking to develop their skills in a supportive and dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Additional Learning Support team with general office and reception duties.
- Answer the telephone and manage incoming calls effectively.
- Maintain electronic filing systems and ensure accurate record-keeping.
- Schedule appointments and meetings for the team.
- Take detailed minutes during reviews and meetings.
- Liaise with academic colleagues and other support areas within the institution.
- Assist with administrative tasks that support the day-to-day operation of the service.
- Adapt to changing responsibilities as needed to meet the evolving needs of the team.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Enthusiasm and a willingness to learn and develop within a supportive environment.
- Good communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic computer skills, including the use of office software.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students and vulnerable adults.
Preferred
- Previous experience in an administrative or support role.
- Experience with minute-taking or similar documentation tasks.
- Knowledge of educational support services or similar environments.
- Flexibility and adaptability to changing priorities and responsibilities.
