The Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate and experienced A-Level Law & Criminology Teacher to join a dynamic and successful school. This role offers the chance to inspire students and contribute to a school that consistently exceeds national benchmarks in student outcomes and satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality, engaging lessons in Law and Criminology at Key Stage 5.
  • Design and implement creative, student-centred learning experiences.
  • Support students in achieving excellent results and preparing for further education or employment.
  • Collaborate with colleagues within the School of Social Sciences to enhance curriculum delivery.
  • Participate in staff development and contribute to the wider school community.
  • Monitor and assess student progress effectively.
  • Stay up to date with developments in Law and Criminology to ensure a relevant and stimulating curriculum.
  • Provide pastoral support and guidance to students as required.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A relevant degree in Law, Criminology, or a related subject.
  • Proven experience teaching Law or Criminology at Key Stage 5.
  • Strong subject knowledge and the ability to deliver engaging lessons.
  • Commitment to student-centred learning and personal development.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred

  • Experience in a further education or sixth-form setting.
  • Familiarity with A-Level and vocational qualifications.
  • Experience with teaching English as a Second Language.
  • Involvement in curriculum development or leadership roles.
  • Experience in safeguarding and promoting student welfare.
