The Opportunity:
We are seeking a Cleaning Operative to join our dedicated Estates team and help maintain the high standards of cleanliness and comfort across our campus. This role is ideal for someone who values attention to detail and provides excellent service to students, staff, and visitors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Clean and maintain designated areas to the highest standards of hygiene and appearance.
- Follow health and safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment for all.
- Work collaboratively with the Estates team to complete cleaning tasks efficiently and effectively.
- Adhere to the school’s policies and procedures related to cleaning, sustainability, and security.
- Report any maintenance issues or concerns promptly to the relevant team.
- Ensure that all cleaning equipment and supplies are used correctly and stored safely.
- Maintain a professional and friendly attitude at all times when interacting with students and staff.
- Complete cleaning duties within allocated time frames and to agreed standards.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Experience in cleaning or a similar role, preferably within an educational or public sector setting.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings and late evenings, during term time.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
- Reliability and punctuality, with the ability to complete tasks on time.
Preferred
- Previous experience in a school or college environment.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
- Experience with cleaning equipment and sustainable cleaning practices.
- Flexibility to work across different areas of the campus.
