Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality A Level Media lessons that engage and challenge students aged 16-19.
  • Develop and implement effective teaching strategies that support student achievement and progression.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and support.
  • Contribute to the wider college community by participating in extra-curricular activities and staff development.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the teaching and learning experience across the department.
  • Support the school’s commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students.
  • Stay up to date with developments in the Media subject and incorporate innovative teaching methods.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with experience in A Level Media.
  • Demonstrated ability to inspire and engage students of all abilities.
  • Commitment to raising student aspirations and achievement.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in post-16 education or current trainee teacher with outstanding potential.

Preferred

  • Experience teaching English or French in addition to Media.
  • Background in initial teacher training or relevant professional development.
  • Experience in curriculum development and assessment.
