The Opportunity:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Vice Principal to support the leadership team and drive the school’s strategic vision forward. This role offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on the educational outcomes of students and to contribute to the ongoing success of a highly respected institution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Principal in providing strategic leadership and operational management across key areas of the school’s provision.
- Work collaboratively with the Senior Leadership Team to implement the school’s strategic goals and the Trust’s vision.
- Develop and maintain high standards of teaching, learning, and student achievement across the institution.
- Manage and oversee key departments or areas of provision, ensuring they align with the school’s mission and values.
- Provide effective deputisation for the Principal in all aspects of school leadership and management.
- Foster a positive and inclusive school culture that supports the professional development of staff and the personal growth of students.
- Promote collaboration with external partners and stakeholders to enhance the school’s reputation and impact in the community.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and safeguarding standards.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Proven experience in a senior leadership role within a further education setting.
- Strong leadership and management skills with the ability to inspire and motivate others.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A relevant qualification in education or leadership (e.g., NPQSL, NPQH).
Preferred
- Experience in post-16 education and a track record of driving improvement and innovation.
- Knowledge of the Further Education sector and its challenges and opportunities.
- Experience in leading and managing large teams or departments.
- A passion for student success and a commitment to widening participation and social mobility.
