The Opportunity:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Vice Principal to support the leadership team and drive the school’s strategic vision forward. This role offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on the educational outcomes of students and to contribute to the ongoing success of a highly respected institution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Principal in providing strategic leadership and operational management across key areas of the school’s provision.
  • Work collaboratively with the Senior Leadership Team to implement the school’s strategic goals and the Trust’s vision.
  • Develop and maintain high standards of teaching, learning, and student achievement across the institution.
  • Manage and oversee key departments or areas of provision, ensuring they align with the school’s mission and values.
  • Provide effective deputisation for the Principal in all aspects of school leadership and management.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive school culture that supports the professional development of staff and the personal growth of students.
  • Promote collaboration with external partners and stakeholders to enhance the school’s reputation and impact in the community.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and safeguarding standards.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven experience in a senior leadership role within a further education setting.
  • Strong leadership and management skills with the ability to inspire and motivate others.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A relevant qualification in education or leadership (e.g., NPQSL, NPQH).

Preferred

  • Experience in post-16 education and a track record of driving improvement and innovation.
  • Knowledge of the Further Education sector and its challenges and opportunities.
  • Experience in leading and managing large teams or departments.
  • A passion for student success and a commitment to widening participation and social mobility.
