The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Computing lessons that inspire and challenge students of all abilities.
  • Develop and implement innovative teaching strategies and initiatives.
  • Support department-wide efforts to enhance the teaching and learning of Computing.
  • Implement targeted interventions to ensure all students achieve their full potential.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and improve departmental outcomes.
  • Promote the value and relevance of Computing within the school and wider community.
  • Contribute to the continuous development of the Computing curriculum.
  • Support the school’s vision and values through consistent, outstanding teaching.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with experience in Computing at Key Stage 3 and 4.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver consistently outstanding teaching.
  • Strong commitment to student progress and achievement.
  • Experience in developing and sharing best practice with colleagues.
  • Passion for Computing and the education of young people.

Preferred

  • Experience in leading or contributing to curriculum development.
  • Knowledge of current trends and technologies in Computing education.
  • Experience with teaching English as a Second Language or working with diverse student groups.
  • Background in supporting student interventions and inclusion strategies.
