The Opportunity:

We are seeking an experienced A Level Science Teacher to join our Science department and inspire students aged 11-18. The role involves teaching Biology, Chemistry, and Physics up to KS4 and one subject at A Level, with a focus on delivering high-quality, engaging lessons that support student progress.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality Science lessons to students aged 11-18 across Key Stages 3-5
• Develop and implement engaging, differentiated lesson plans tailored to diverse learning needs
• Monitor and assess student progress, providing regular and constructive feedback
• Collaborate with colleagues in the Science department to share best practices and support departmental goals
• Maintain a safe, inclusive, and productive learning environment
• Support students in developing confidence and academic skills in Science
• Participate in school-wide initiatives and professional development opportunities
• Contribute to the planning and delivery of extracurricular Science activities

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Relevant degree and Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Proven experience teaching Science at Key Stage 3-5, including A Level
• Strong understanding of the Science curriculum for Key Stage 3-5
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong organisational and classroom management abilities
• Commitment to Catholic values and the school’s ethos

Preferred

• Experience in leading or contributing to Science department initiatives
• Experience with extracurricular Science activities or STEM engagement
• Familiarity with modern teaching methodologies and technologies
• Experience with supporting students with diverse learning needs
