The Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate and ambitious Physics Teacher to take on a leadership role within a thriving Science department. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the Physics curriculum and inspiring both students and colleagues. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced teacher looking to make a real impact on student achievement and school improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and develop the Physics curriculum across Key Stages 3, 4 and 5
  • Model excellent teaching and learning practices and support colleagues through coaching and mentoring
  • Work collaboratively with the Science department to raise standards in Physics
  • Contribute to whole-school priorities through subject leadership and professional development
  • Support the delivery of high-quality teaching and learning across all year groups
  • Engage in continuous professional development and share best practice with colleagues
  • Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students
  • Ensure the implementation of school-wide policies and initiatives in the Physics department

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A specialism in Physics
  • Proven experience in teaching Physics at Key Stages 3, 4 and 5
  • Ability to lead, coach and mentor colleagues
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students

Preferred

  • Experience in curriculum leadership or departmental management
  • Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language
  • Experience in working within a large, dynamic school environment
  • Experience in developing and delivering professional development programs
