The Opportunity:

As a Maths Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality lessons that engage and challenge students in Key Stage 3 and 4. Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and effective mathematics lessons tailored to the needs of Key Stage 3 and 4 students
  • Support students in developing their mathematical skills and confidence
  • Create and implement lesson plans that align with the curriculum and promote student progress
  • Collaborate with colleagues in the Mathematics department to share best practices and improve teaching standards
  • Monitor and assess student performance regularly to inform teaching and learning
  • Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages participation and respect
  • Participate in school-wide events and initiatives that support student development and well-being
  • Stay up to date with developments in mathematics education and incorporate new teaching methods where appropriate

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Relevant degree and Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Strong understanding of Key Stage 3 and 4 mathematics curriculum
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to create engaging lesson plans for diverse learners
  • Strong organisational skills and classroom management experience

Preferred

  • Experience with teaching Key Stage 3 and 4 students
  • Experience working in a Catholic school or similar environment
  • Demonstrated ability to support student progress and achievement
  • Experience with assessment and data analysis
