The Opportunity:
As a Maths Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality lessons that engage and challenge students in Key Stage 3 and 4. Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and effective mathematics lessons tailored to the needs of Key Stage 3 and 4 students
- Support students in developing their mathematical skills and confidence
- Create and implement lesson plans that align with the curriculum and promote student progress
- Collaborate with colleagues in the Mathematics department to share best practices and improve teaching standards
- Monitor and assess student performance regularly to inform teaching and learning
- Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages participation and respect
- Participate in school-wide events and initiatives that support student development and well-being
- Stay up to date with developments in mathematics education and incorporate new teaching methods where appropriate
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Relevant degree and Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Strong understanding of Key Stage 3 and 4 mathematics curriculum
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to create engaging lesson plans for diverse learners
- Strong organisational skills and classroom management experience
Preferred
- Experience with teaching Key Stage 3 and 4 students
- Experience working in a Catholic school or similar environment
- Demonstrated ability to support student progress and achievement
- Experience with assessment and data analysis
