The Opportunity:

As an Academic Coordinator Secondary School, you will play a key role in shaping the academic direction of the secondary school. You will lead and support teaching staff, ensuring the delivery of a high-quality, internationally recognized curriculum that meets the needs of all students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee the academic performance and development of the secondary school.
  • Coordinate curriculum design, assessment, and progression in line with Key Stage 3 and 4 standards.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to teaching staff, promoting professional development and best practices.
  • Ensure alignment with CIE guidelines and school curriculum requirements.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching and learning through the use of technology.
  • Communicate effectively with staff, students, and parents to maintain a strong and supportive school community.
  • Support the school’s mission to deliver an affordable, world-class education to students.
  • Monitor and report on academic outcomes and student progress.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in education or a relevant subject; a master’s degree is preferred.
  • Proven experience in teaching and leadership within an international or similar school setting.
  • Strong understanding of Key Stage 3 and 4 curriculum design, assessment, and progression.
  • Familiarity with CIE guidelines and school curriculum standards.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and team management skills.
  • Proficiency in using technology to enhance teaching and departmental administration.
  • Valid background check or police clearance, with no concerns regarding suitability to work with children.

Preferred

  • Experience in mentoring and training teachers.
