The Opportunity:

As an Academic Mentor, you will support students in Years 7–11 with Education Health and Care Plans and lead the support for those with learning and behavioural difficulties. This role is ideal for aspiring teachers, offering a salaried stepping stone with opportunities for professional development and teacher training.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support students with Education Health and Care Plans and those with learning and behavioural difficulties.
  • Provide academic guidance and mentorship to students in Years 7–11.
  • Work closely with teaching staff to develop tailored learning strategies.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing regular feedback to the team.
  • Collaborate with parents and external professionals to ensure student needs are met.
  • Participate in staff development and training initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports on student progress and interventions.
  • Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment.
