The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Biology lessons across all key stages, ensuring student engagement and achievement.
  • Develop and implement innovative teaching strategies that promote a deep understanding of Biology.
  • Support student learning through effective assessment, feedback, and pastoral care.
  • Collaborate with the Head of Biology and department colleagues to enhance curriculum delivery and student outcomes.
  • Participate in professional development, staff meetings, and school-wide initiatives.
  • Contribute to extracurricular activities and science-related events.
  • Monitor and report on student progress, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Maintain a safe and inclusive classroom environment that reflects the school’s Catholic values.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified Biology Teacher with relevant subject knowledge and experience.
  • Commitment to the Catholic ethos of the school.
  • Strong classroom management and teaching skills.
  • Experience in delivering science education to students across key stages.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate students to achieve their full potential.

Preferred

  • Experience in leading or mentoring other teachers.
  • Experience with curriculum development and assessment strategies.
  • Familiarity with science outreach or extracurricular activities.
  • A track record of student achievement and positive feedback from students and colleagues.
