The Opportunity:

As a Humanities Curriculum Leader, you will play a pivotal role in shaping a rigorous and intellectually stimulating curriculum. You will work in a dynamic, high-achieving environment and contribute to the school’s mission of fostering selflessness, excellence, and lifelong learning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and delivery of a high-quality, virtues-led Humanities curriculum.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across the school and trust to ensure consistency and excellence in teaching and learning.
  • Support and mentor other teachers, providing guidance and professional development opportunities.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, ensuring that all pupils achieve their full potential.
  • Work closely with the Curriculum Leader to implement school-wide initiatives and strategies.
  • Engage with parents, carers, and the wider community to promote the school’s ethos and values.
  • Contribute to the school’s continuous improvement through reflective practice and innovation.
  • Ensure that all teaching and learning activities align with the school’s vision and mission.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven experience in curriculum leadership within a school setting.
  • Strong subject knowledge in Humanities, with the ability to inspire and engage students.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a team effectively.
  • Commitment to a virtues-led, character-focused educational approach.

Preferred

  • Experience in a multi-faith or inclusive educational environment.
  • Background in professional development and teacher training.
  • Experience with Ofsted inspections or school improvement initiatives.
  • Familiarity with the Nishkam School Trust or similar educational organizations.
