The Opportunity:
As a Humanities Curriculum Leader, you will play a pivotal role in shaping a rigorous and intellectually stimulating curriculum. You will work in a dynamic, high-achieving environment and contribute to the school’s mission of fostering selflessness, excellence, and lifelong learning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and delivery of a high-quality, virtues-led Humanities curriculum.
- Collaborate with colleagues across the school and trust to ensure consistency and excellence in teaching and learning.
- Support and mentor other teachers, providing guidance and professional development opportunities.
- Monitor and assess student progress, ensuring that all pupils achieve their full potential.
- Work closely with the Curriculum Leader to implement school-wide initiatives and strategies.
- Engage with parents, carers, and the wider community to promote the school’s ethos and values.
- Contribute to the school’s continuous improvement through reflective practice and innovation.
- Ensure that all teaching and learning activities align with the school’s vision and mission.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Proven experience in curriculum leadership within a school setting.
- Strong subject knowledge in Humanities, with the ability to inspire and engage students.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a team effectively.
- Commitment to a virtues-led, character-focused educational approach.
Preferred
- Experience in a multi-faith or inclusive educational environment.
- Background in professional development and teacher training.
- Experience with Ofsted inspections or school improvement initiatives.
- Familiarity with the Nishkam School Trust or similar educational organizations.
