Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality history lessons that engage students across all key stages.
- Develop and implement effective teaching strategies to enhance student learning and achievement.
- Work collaboratively with the Head of History and department colleagues to improve departmental performance.
- Support students in achieving their full potential through personalized learning and assessment.
- Promote the Catholic ethos and values within the classroom and school community.
- Participate in professional development and training opportunities.
- Contribute to extracurricular activities and school events related to history.
- Maintain accurate records and assess student progress in line with school policies.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with relevant subject knowledge in history.
- Experience in teaching history at Key Stages 3 and 4.
- Commitment to the Catholic ethos of the school.
- Strong classroom management and communication skills.
- Ability to inspire and motivate students to achieve their best.
Preferred
- Experience in leading or mentoring other teachers.
- Experience with A-Level history teaching.
- Background in Catholic education or community involvement.
- Leadership potential with a vision for future roles in the department.
