Summary:

Join as an Activities Leader and shape the summer experience for students aged 8–17.

The Opportunity:

As an Activities Leader, you will be responsible for planning and delivering a dynamic range of sports, arts, and team-building activities, as well as supervising off-site excursions. This is a fixed-term role from July to August 2026, offering a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact on students’ personal development and wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging sports, arts, and team-building activities for students aged 8–17.
  • Support and supervise off-site excursions, ensuring a safe and positive environment for all students.
  • Provide pastoral care and support within boarding houses, fostering a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere.
  • Encourage student participation and engagement in all activities, ensuring a sense of belonging and inclusion.
  • Collaborate with other staff to ensure a cohesive and well-organised programme of events and activities.
  • Monitor student wellbeing and provide guidance and support as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records and communicate regularly with relevant staff and management.
  • Promote the school’s values of fairness, respect, and personal development through all interactions.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Experience working with children or young people in a residential or educational setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Commitment to student safety and wellbeing.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Preferred

  • Background in sports, arts, or outdoor activities.
  • Experience in a residential or boarding environment.
  • Previous experience in a leadership or supervisory role.
  • Knowledge of child development and pastoral care practices.
