The Opportunity:
As a Summer School Teacher, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality, engaging lessons to a diverse group of students aged 8–17. This is a fixed-term position from July to August 2026, offering the chance to inspire young minds in a supportive and vibrant academic setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver imaginative and expert-led lessons tailored to mixed-ability groups.
- Foster curiosity, creativity, and confidence in students through innovative teaching methods.
- Support students pastorally within a warm and structured boarding environment.
- Monitor student progress and contribute to assessments and reports.
- Collaborate with the Academic Director and other staff to maintain academic and safeguarding standards.
- Uphold the values and traditions of a leading independent school.
- Engage in co-curricular activities and contribute to the overall enrichment of the Summer School programme.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Subject expertise and experience in teaching relevant subjects.
- Ability to design and deliver lessons to mixed-ability groups.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting student welfare.
- Experience working with young people in an educational setting.
Preferred
- Experience in teaching within a boarding or international school environment.
- Familiarity with summer school or enrichment programme delivery.
- Passion for working with students from diverse cultural backgrounds.
- Experience in co-curricular or extracurricular programme development.
