The Opportunity:

As an Administration Manager, you will be responsible for managing school operations, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements, and leading the administration team. This role is essential in supporting the school’s mission to provide a high-quality education and create a positive learning environment for all students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee the school administration team, including cover supervisors and cover teachers.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements across finance, HR, governance, premises, health and safety, and data protection.
  • Provide support on HR matters such as recruitment, employee relations, and policy compliance.
  • Work closely with the Headteacher, Senior Leadership Team, and central teams to drive continuous improvement.
  • Lead the management information systems to support data-driven decision-making.
  • Directly line manage administration officers and delegate tasks effectively.
  • Develop and implement whole academy initiatives in consultation with the Headteacher.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven experience in school administration or a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of statutory and regulatory requirements in education.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with senior leaders and staff.
  • Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.

Preferred

  • Experience with HR processes and employee relations.
  • Familiarity with management information systems.
  • Experience in a school setting with children and young adults.
  • Knowledge of the Seven Principles of Public Life.
