The Opportunity:

As an Afternoon Caretaker, you will play a key role in maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and functionality of multiple sites across the school. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to a dynamic and welcoming environment, ensuring that all areas are well-maintained and secure.

Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out site security duties in accordance with established protocols.
• Perform basic maintenance and janitorial tasks across multiple locations.
• Assist with setups and other duties as directed by the Maintenance Manager and Director of Estates.
• Work independently and as part of a team to ensure all areas are kept to a high standard.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors.
• Report any maintenance issues or safety concerns promptly.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times.
• Support the overall operations of the Estates Department.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Proven experience in a caretaker or similar role.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Good organisational and time management skills.
• Initiative and a conscientious approach to work.
• Knowledge of basic maintenance and cleaning procedures.

Preferred

• Experience in an educational setting or similar environment.
• Familiarity with health and safety regulations.
• Experience with using basic tools and equipment for maintenance tasks.
