The Opportunity:

A school is seeking a passionate and inspiring Teacher of Psychology to join its Science Faculty and support the continued growth of the subject at A Level. This role offers the opportunity to lead students to outstanding academic outcomes and to contribute to a supportive and high-achieving learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach Psychology at both GCSE and A Level, ensuring a high standard of delivery and student achievement.
  • Deliver engaging and relevant lessons that develop students’ employability skills and academic potential.
  • Contribute to the planning and development of the Psychology curriculum, including assessment and examination strategies.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues in the Science Faculty to maintain and enhance the quality of teaching and learning.
  • Support students in preparing for higher education and future careers through pastoral and academic guidance.
  • Participate in extracurricular activities and school events that promote student development and well-being.
  • Stay up to date with developments in the field of Psychology and incorporate new teaching methods and resources.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to support continued improvement.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant experience in teaching Psychology at A Level.
  • A strong academic background in Psychology or a related subject.
  • Experience of delivering high-quality lessons that engage and challenge students.
  • A commitment to fostering student achievement and personal development.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred

  • Experience of teaching other subjects alongside Psychology.
  • A track record of successful student outcomes and academic achievement.
  • Involvement in extracurricular activities or pastoral support.
  • Experience of working within a faith-based educational environment.
