The Opportunity:

As an AI Strategy Lead, you will shape the responsible and effective integration of artificial intelligence across teaching, learning, and operations. This is a pivotal role in a school positioned to become a centre of AI excellence in education. You will collaborate with senior leaders, academic departments, and administrative teams to enhance practice and deliver measurable impact through AI-enabled solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategies for the responsible use of AI in teaching and school operations.
  • Collaborate with academic and administrative teams to identify opportunities for AI integration and automation.
  • Evaluate and refine AI tools and approaches in real classroom settings to ensure effectiveness and alignment with educational goals.
  • Support the Head of Computing and Digital Strategy in advancing the school’s AI vision and initiatives.
  • Promote a culture of innovation and continuous improvement through AI-enabled workflows and teaching practices.
  • Engage with external networks, including research institutions and technology companies, to stay at the forefront of AI developments in education.
  • Provide guidance on ethical AI use and ensure compliance with best practices and regulatory standards.
  • Contribute to training and development programs for staff and students in AI literacy and digital skills.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Strong AI literacy and a deep understanding of responsible AI use.
  • Proven experience in improving practice, transforming workflows, or delivering measurable impact through digital tools, automation, or AI.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with academic and administrative teams at all levels.
  • Experience in education, with a commitment to student and staff development.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills.

Preferred

  • Experience in teaching or educational leadership across a range of subjects.
  • Background in computing or digital strategy.
  • Familiarity with AI tools and platforms used in education.
  • Experience with curriculum development or learning innovation.
