The Opportunity:
A French Teacher Assistant is needed to support students in developing their spoken French skills and appreciation of Francophone cultures. This role plays a key part in preparing students for GCSE, A Level, and DELF speaking exams, and contributes to a dynamic and collaborative MFL department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in developing students’ spoken French skills and cultural understanding.
- Support the preparation of students for GCSE, A Level, and DELF speaking exams.
- Collaborate with the MFL team to share best practices and enhance language learning.
- Deliver engaging and interactive lessons that inspire a love of language and culture.
- Provide individualised support to students to help them reach their full potential.
- Contribute to the development of the school’s strong MFL profile.
- Stay up to date with current teaching methodologies and French language trends.
- Participate in departmental meetings and professional development activities.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Native speaker or graduate in French with near-native language skills.
- Experience or interest in teaching French at a secondary level.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- Commitment to student engagement and cultural appreciation.
Preferred
- Experience in preparing students for GCSE, A Level, or DELF exams.
- Knowledge of Francophone cultures and traditions.
- Experience working in a school or educational setting.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
