The Opportunity:

We are seeking a dedicated Teacher of Singing to deliver 1-1 lessons to students in a part-time, fixed-term role. This is an excellent opportunity to inspire and support students in developing their musical talents. The role involves teaching a variety of musical styles and contributing to a vibrant, performance-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality 1-1 singing lessons to students across a range of musical styles.
  • Support students in developing their vocal techniques, performance skills, and musical knowledge.
  • Collaborate with other music staff to enhance the overall music curriculum and student experience.
  • Provide regular feedback and guidance to students to help them achieve their full potential.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and lesson content.
  • Participate in staff meetings and professional development activities.
  • Contribute to the wider musical life of the school through performances and events.
  • Ensure a safe and inclusive learning environment for all students.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant experience in singing instruction.
  • Strong knowledge of vocal technique and a range of musical genres.
  • Ability to engage and inspire students of varying abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students.

Preferred

  • Experience in teaching at the sixth form or equivalent level.
  • Experience with curriculum development and assessment.
  • Familiarity with music technology and digital teaching tools.
  • Experience in working within a collaborative and supportive team environment.
