The Opportunity:
We are seeking a dedicated Teacher of Singing to deliver 1-1 lessons to students in a part-time, fixed-term role. This is an excellent opportunity to inspire and support students in developing their musical talents. The role involves teaching a variety of musical styles and contributing to a vibrant, performance-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality 1-1 singing lessons to students across a range of musical styles.
- Support students in developing their vocal techniques, performance skills, and musical knowledge.
- Collaborate with other music staff to enhance the overall music curriculum and student experience.
- Provide regular feedback and guidance to students to help them achieve their full potential.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and lesson content.
- Participate in staff meetings and professional development activities.
- Contribute to the wider musical life of the school through performances and events.
- Ensure a safe and inclusive learning environment for all students.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with relevant experience in singing instruction.
- Strong knowledge of vocal technique and a range of musical genres.
- Ability to engage and inspire students of varying abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students.
Preferred
- Experience in teaching at the sixth form or equivalent level.
- Experience with curriculum development and assessment.
- Familiarity with music technology and digital teaching tools.
- Experience in working within a collaborative and supportive team environment.
