Key Responsibilities:
- Support teaching and learning by assisting with lesson planning, classroom activities, and individual student needs.
- Work closely with teachers to ensure a consistent and effective approach to student support.
- Promote positive behavior and a safe, inclusive learning environment for all students.
- Assist with administrative tasks, including record-keeping and communication with parents.
- Provide one-to-one or small group support to students to enhance their learning outcomes.
- Participate in staff meetings and training sessions to continuously improve teaching practices.
- Collaborate with colleagues to implement the school’s vision and values in daily practice.
- Encourage student engagement and motivation through creative and interactive learning experiences.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- A relevant qualification in education or equivalent experience.
- Experience working within a primary school setting, supporting teaching and learning.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- A proactive and positive attitude with a commitment to continuous professional development.
- Ability to work as part of a team and take initiative when needed.
- Understanding of safeguarding and child protection policies.
Preferred
- Experience working within a multi-academy trust.
- Knowledge of the local community and its context.
- Experience with the Maltby Learning Trust's vision and values.
- Experience with the school’s core learning characteristics and curriculum approach.
- Familiarity with enrichment activities and extracurricular opportunities.
