Lead Teaching Assistant KS1 required at a progressive primary school.

The Opportunity:

As a Lead Teaching Assistant KS1, you will play a key role in supporting the learning and development of young students. This position offers the chance to work within a dynamic and supportive team, contributing to a school culture that values growth, collaboration, and excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support and assist teachers in delivering high-quality teaching and learning experiences to Key Stage 1 students.
  • Provide one-to-one and small group support to students, helping them achieve their full potential.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to plan and implement effective learning strategies and activities.
  • Maintain accurate records and complete administrative tasks efficiently.
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff to ensure a positive and supportive learning environment.
  • Promote the school’s values and Core Learning Characteristics through daily interactions and activities.
  • Assist in organizing and delivering enrichment activities and school trips.
  • Support the smooth running of the classroom and school operations as a Cover Supervisor when required.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven experience working as a Teaching Assistant in a primary school setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with children, parents, and colleagues.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • Confident use of IT systems and administrative software.
  • Commitment to the school’s vision, values, and Key Drivers.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred

  • Experience with children aged 3 to 11 years.
  • Knowledge of the local community and context in which the school operates.
  • Experience in supporting students with diverse learning needs.
  • Background in teaching or education-related qualifications.
