The Opportunity:
As a Lead Teaching Assistant KS1, you will play a key role in supporting the learning and development of young students. This position offers the chance to work within a dynamic and supportive team, contributing to a school culture that values growth, collaboration, and excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support and assist teachers in delivering high-quality teaching and learning experiences to Key Stage 1 students.
- Provide one-to-one and small group support to students, helping them achieve their full potential.
- Collaborate with colleagues to plan and implement effective learning strategies and activities.
- Maintain accurate records and complete administrative tasks efficiently.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff to ensure a positive and supportive learning environment.
- Promote the school’s values and Core Learning Characteristics through daily interactions and activities.
- Assist in organizing and delivering enrichment activities and school trips.
- Support the smooth running of the classroom and school operations as a Cover Supervisor when required.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Proven experience working as a Teaching Assistant in a primary school setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Confident use of IT systems and administrative software.
- Commitment to the school’s vision, values, and Key Drivers.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred
- Experience with children aged 3 to 11 years.
- Knowledge of the local community and context in which the school operates.
- Experience in supporting students with diverse learning needs.
- Background in teaching or education-related qualifications.
